A 75-year history

The company was founded by Pierre LACOTE and his wife Jeanine LACOTE in 1949, just after the end of the Second World War. At the time, the aim was to develop applications for PVC, a plastic material that was still in its infancy, but which was to experience an impressive growth in the following years due to its unique versatility. The company started in Coulaines, a few kilometers from Le Mans, and began producing PVC-coated cotton fabrics.

Over the decades, we have been able to evolve and adapt to changing market needs, while remaining loyal to the values that shaped our first steps: offering products tailored to our customers’ needs, not a catalog.

Today, LACOTE is recognized for its proven know-how in custom fabric coating. Our team of experts masters the most advanced techniques to provide our customers with tailor-made solutions that meet their most demanding requirements.

We look forward to putting our expertise at your service and working with you to meet your most ambitious challenges.
